Events for business owners and start-ups planned

• The Waterford Chamber Young Professionals Network is hosting their annual Brewing for Business, July 20 at Oakland Yard. Taste brews from local breweries: Parker’s Hilltop Brewery and CJ’s Brewing Company. Entertainment by Johnny Stevenson, register at www.waterfordchamber.org.
• Starting a Business workshop is 10 a.m.-noon July 27 at Troy Public Library, 510 W. Big Beaver Road, Troy, register at www.AdvantageOakland.com/businessworkshops or call 248-858-0783, free admission.
• “Oakland is Open for Business” vendor workshop is 2-4 p.m. Aug. 9 at Oakland County Executive Building Conference Center, 2100 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford Township. Oakland County business owners, entrepreneurs, vendors, suppliers and contractors are invited to learn how to become a registered vendor with Oakland County. It was organized by the Oakland County Board of Commissioners, along with the Department of Economic Development & Community Affairs and Purchasing. Register for the free event at www.eventbrite.com.
